The 2019 G Fund & Big Fin Fundraiser Friday, November 8th

In partnership with The Big Fin, the 3rd Annual Fundraiser has been scheduled for Friday, November 8th.  We hope you will be able to join us for food, fun, drinks, and incredible auction items.  Proceeds from this year's event will benefit students at Valencia School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management as well as University of North Carolina, Wilmington.  Hope you will be able to join us and help these students with their educational dreams. 

2018-2019 Giovanni Villanueva Memorial Scholarships Awarded

Thanks to all of our generous donations for our 2018 Big Fin Fundraiser and congratulations to our 2018 students.  This year, thanks to your support, we were able to award an additional scholarship to a student from the Class of 2019 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. Congratulations to Victoria Silva, recipient of a $2,000 scholarship. We wish you the best of luck in your studies at the Walt Disney School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality at Valencia College.

In addition, 3 students at Valencia College were awarded $1,000 each to continue their studies at the Walt Disney School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality at Valencia College.

The scholarship is open each year through the Foundation at Valencia College.

2017-2018 Giovanni Villanueva Memorial Scholarships Awarded

March 29, 2018 - Thanks to all of our generous donations for our 2017 fundraiser and congratulations to our 2018 awards.  This year we were able to award 3 scholarships to Valencia College culinary students.

K Restaurant adds Giovanni's Mozambique to the Menu

November 10, 2017 - K Restaurant, 1710 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32804, put a special dish on their menu for 1 week and donated 10% of the proceeds to The G Fund.  Mozambique was one of Giovanni's favorite dish and Chef de Cuisine Ryan McLaughlin made the best version that I have ever tried.  During the time that it was on the menu Scott Joseph, Orlando Food Critic stopped in and loved the dish.  https://www.scottjosephorlando.com/reviews/recent-reviews/51-american/4110-k-restaurant-wine-bar

The 2018 G Fund & Big Fin Fundraiser

November 9, 2018 - Big Fin Seafood Kitchen hosted our 2nd annual fundraiser.  With donations from local companies we were able to raise enough money to fund the Giovanni Villanueva Memorial Scholarship.  Thanks to our donors, attendees, and participants in the auction for your generous support.
